SnoTap Songs of the Week for May 19th

Sorry, these got lost in the shuffle last Friday. I had a scheduling conflict making me pretty much useless after noon last week. For those wondering or for those who care I guess, we will have three posts hopefully on Memorial Day. Brewers preview, highlights-lowlights of the Brewers-Marlins series and a recap of the two NBA games this weekend. I cannot make any promises with how hungover I will probably be by Monday.



Wasted (R3Hab Remix) - Tiesto (feat. Matthew Koma)
This is the perfect song for the weekend. There is so much here for you to work it. The chorus is really all you need this weekend. This song is a flat out banger without R3Hab, but his spin to the song makes it our top pick for the week.

Lost You - Zeds Dead & Twin Shadow (feat. D'Angelo Lacy)
Love this one too. I think if we didn't get the Wasted remix this week, this would have took the top spot. Although this isn't the time to worry about exes with it being a brand new summer. Still a fun song and yes I would recommend it to your weekend playlist.



About The Money - T.I. (feat. Young Thug) 
It has been awhile since we have heard something great from T.I., but this could be a big song for this summer. There is the old school T.I. flow to it with a pretty awesome verse/hook from Young Thug, one of the risers in the game.

Drowning - BANKS
I am officially on BANKS bandwagon. I have been talking her up in the last couple weeks. I think her album will be big this Fall. This is her newest one and it's probably the most depressing song you will hear for Memorial Day weekend.



You & Me - Bassnectar (feat. W. Darling)
This isn't the protoypical Bassnectar song with crazy dubstep beats, but it is still a good one with a nice change of pace that could result in some Top 40 airplay.

Stigmata - Ab-Soul (feat. Action Bronson & Assad
This is one I am going to have to listen to again. I am putting it here because I know we probably have some Ab-Soul fans as well as some Action fans. Way too slow beat-wise for my liking. It could be due to the fact, it's Friday and beautiful outside which in turn is not the time to listen to a song like this.

Closing Time: You & Me (Feat. W. Darling) - Bassnectar

Another night, another song worth putting on your summer playlist. We hear from Bassnectar, one of the most popular electronic acts in the past couple of years. He will have an album coming out in late June which is perfect for the dog days season and featured heavily in the mid-late summer festivals.  This is not the usual from Bassnectar whose known for a little more hard-hitting style of dubstep. This slows it down a bit, and dare I say feels like something to throw to the wolves at Top 40 radio stations. I definitely enjoyed the approach here from the Californian DJ. I don't know if all of his fans will dig it as I am not a big one, but I like it so that's all that matters. Take care Tappers, thanks for putting up with the few posts.
